So at long last the Hatcore EP has dropped. Yours truly can be found doing the chorus on a track f. Fatty Goodness, Tiri’Anor, MC Wreckshin, IllGill & Cumfucius on a Pellicane! beat. Anyway, I did a twitreview of the EP (which is *almost* too long to be called an EP), here it is:

Time to finally check out the Hatcore EP “Men With Hats”. 3.5 months in the making, 10 tracks, all colabs. I’ve been looking fwd to this.

1:The Twin Snakes;@KABUTO_RAPS f. Old Snake:Nice minimal beat,Old Snake hard to understand,still a fun opener. KTP intro to hook hat-haters.

2:Burying the HATchet:MC 8bit f. Fatty Goodness:Seriously Hatty raps, good background track. I think both rappers have leveled recently.

3:H4RD H4TZ:Cumfucius&ChemistTheMenace:More leveling, esp CtM. Vox could be upped a touch. Another makeup track .Nice beat. Too short.

4:The Hatz Are Out Tonight:Kincade,ThugmastaJ,OGDV:Wow. Grinning for the whole track. This is why you don’t eff w/ hatcore, serious.

5:Hat-Wearing Motherfuckers:FattyGoodness&@KABUTO_RAPS f.MC_Loki:Still grinning. Digging slower-than-usual KTP. Fatty w/ cake, Loki, icing.

6:The Don’s Hatcore Battle Mega Mix:OGDV f.IllGill:Vitos west-coast beat invokes Dre. Vox lowish. Gill amuses,but not as gangsta as the beat

7:HATCORPS:Darconomicock(Cumfucius & Tiri’Anor) f.OldSnake,IllGill,MCWreckshin:Familiar beat. (Vicious Attack;Mad DPS f. 3rr0r & The Ranger)

7.1:Hatcorps:DC isn’t bad. Damnit snake,I dont like to hate,but really,lyrics dont suck, but voice ruins. Gill & Wreck make me chuckle tho.

8:Hatcore Gangbangaz:CtM&OGDV f.MC_Loki:Enjoyable, this project has been good for CtM, but Lokis verse wins. More solid OGDV gangsta beats.

9:Era Draconis:@KABUTO_RAPS f. Cumfucius,Old Snake:KTP pulls out some crazy linguistics here. Cummy cums solid. Old Snake irks. 2/3rds fun.

10:Hatcores Finest:Fatty Goodness f. 3rr0r,Tiri’Anor,MC Wreckshin,IllGill,Cumfucius(Pellicane! beat):Some issues on EP track,but Cummy fixed

10.1:Hatcores Finest:A good hatty colab closer. The chorus(me) isn’t great. The verses are enjoyable, but imo Cummy(last) stands out above.

Conclusion: Had low expectations going in. I was wrong. This is a really fun EP with some badassery contained therein. Will bump in car.
